Rituals
Rituals are a set of actions carried out in a certain way, according to an order to get a result. At a wedding, for example, there are certain things that must be done, so it functions according to custom and tradition of the ceremony.
In magic and in certain religions, there are surely, various kinds of rituals to be performed to get something to work properly.
When someone does a work of magic, certain things should be done or said, also what should also be taken into account is the environment in which they will perform ritual. The phases of the moon are important to make a spell work properly. Some actions should be done in a specific order for the proper functioning of a spell.
There are many types of rituals and all of them require different actions, words, things and even ingredients. The rituals are also performed to invoke any kind of spirit, like the Holy Spirit or perhaps a dark force.
A ritual in itself can be used for positive purposes or negative ones, depending on the desired result. In ancient times people performed rituals to give thanks to certain gods according to their beliefs or to ask for good harvest and some of them included human sacrifices.
Although there are certain rituals that people continue because of habit, it is possible that individuals will perform personal rituals for their own personal, spiritual and mental benefit for their own well-being, as well as others.
There are a lot of rituals, almost as many as the number of communities of today; many of them do not have their procedure registered, since in some places the traditions are transmitted orally.
The rituals performed by certain communities, are done with respect, honesty and humility, offering the ability to feel the force of a group of people that come together with common objectives, whether it be for blessing, petition, gratitude or celebration. In this sense, rituals are not performed according to the rules of any school or religion and do not follow any written procedure. The rituals, from this aspect are not against religion; they are much less an established religion, but are facts that express an attitude.
